1. Who can use Companion?
- All people with a hearing loss (with or without a hearing instrument).
- People with a hearing loss often have difficulties catching speech (or TV sound, music etc.) in environments with a great deal of background noise. Companion can be placed near the sound source and amplify the sound. Use headphones or for example a neck loop to the hearing instrument.
2. Can I use different headphones?
- Yes, you can use all headphones with a 3.5 mm plug.

Can I use Companion without a hearing instrument?
- Yes, it is excellent to use with the enclosed headphones.
- Sometimes it can be comfortable to take off the hearing instrument and listen with the headphones.
5. In what situations is Companion a suitable listening device?
- In environments with a lot of background noise, you can come closer to the sound source using Companion.
Example: People with a hearing loss often have difficulties catching speech in noisy environments, for example in a car. If the fellow traveller speaks into the microphone the speech is transferred directly to the hearing instrument or headphones of the person with a hearing loss. Thus, speech clarity is increased greatly.
- Companion is also useful if you have dexterity problems, since it can be handled with only one control.
6. Battery life?
Approx. 200 hours using two alkaline AA batteries.
7. What kind of accessories are available?

8. Can amplification and frequency response be changed?
- Yes.
- The amplification can be adjusted with the big volume control. It is also possible to obtain an additional amplification of 16 dB by adjusting the gain with a screwdriver.
- Frequency response can be adjusted in the bass with a screwdriver.
9. Is Companion difficult to use?
- No, on the contrary!
- Companion is designed so that it can be used with one hand, even for people with dexterity problems.
