1.
How long is the battery life?
Change batteries approximately every third year.
2. How long is the charging time?
Will be fully charged after seven hours.
3. What is the difference between MiniVib and Tactum?
- MiniVib only needs to be charged once every four days for 3 hours, but can not receive alarms during charging. Tactum must be charged every night. Continued alert is secured using a pillow vibrator.
- MiniVib does not have a built-in watch, but Tactum does.
- MiniVib can receive up to four different alarms, Tactum up to seven.
- Both of them are just as reliable for the user.
4. What is the range?
- It depends on whether your walls are made of wood or concrete and it also depends on how thick they are. From a general point of view the range is enough for a three-room apartment.
- You can extend the range, using one or more repeaters (maximum seven). This will be enough for just about any house!
5. Do I feel the vibration?
Most people feel the vibrations so distinctly that it wakes them up. Your body will also "learn" to recognize the vibrations and become more alert to them. Compare to your cell phone signal, you hear your own, but have greater difficulties noticing that of your friend. However, this will differ between people.
6. How do I see/feel the difference between the alarms?
Tactum has eight different symbols that are displayed in the dial for each alarm (seven alarms and low battery warning).
In addition to this, Tactum has different vibrations depending on type of alarm. Telephone is ”two short” and ”one long” vibration. Door is ”one long” vibration etc.
7. Which alarms can it receive?
Tactum can receive alarms from Door bell, Telephone, Smoke Detector, Baby Alarm, Pager, and another two optional alarms.
8. Is it waterproof?
- No!
- It is resistant to rain etc, but do not shower or bathe with it.
9. How do I install the Lynx system?
- Place the door bell outside your door using double-sided adhesive tape or attach it with screws.
- Connect the telephone transmitter to any of your wall jacks in the same way as connecting your telephone.
- Charge Tactum. Make sure that it can receive alarms in those places where you move (if not, you need to add a Repeater to your installation).
